Eligibility

JEE Main: Class 12 (or equiv.) with PCM; no age limit; max 6 attempts across 3 years.
JEE Advanced (confirmed from official site): must rank in top 2,50,000 of JEE Main (category-wise quotas); born on/after 1 Oct 2001 (5-yr relaxation SC/ST/PwD); max 2 attempts in 2 consecutive years; must have first appeared for class 12 in 2025 or 2026; no prior IIT admission.

Selection Process & Exam Pattern

JEE Main: 75 questions, 300 marks — 25 Q/100 marks each in Physics, Chemistry, Maths (20 MCQ + 5 numerical per subject). +4 correct, -1 wrong MCQ.
JEE Advanced: 2 compulsory papers, same day, 3 hours each, mixed question types (single/multi-correct MCQ, matching, numerical) with partial marking. *Exact pattern varies year to year per IIT's own statement — don't present as fixed.
