1. Who We Are
"Zenith Education", "Zenith Notes, Books & E-Books", and "Zenith Point Publishers" (collectively, "we", "us", "our") is a Jaipur-based publisher of study notes and online tests for Indian competitive exams, in operation since 1998. This Privacy Policy applies to the website store.zenitheducation.net and all Zenith-branded applications.
2. Data We Collect
- Identity data: your name, mobile number, and email at signup / checkout.
- Delivery address if you order hard-copy materials.
- Payment identifiers: UPI VPA, card last-4, bank name — only as reported by Razorpay. We never see full card numbers or CVV; those stay with the payment gateway.
- Order & usage data: which courses you own, reading time, print/download claims, test scores, chat history with our team.
- Device signals: IP address, browser type, device fingerprint (a non-reversible hash used to prevent piracy and enforce our 2-device cap).
3. Why We Collect It
- To create and secure your account (OTP-based sign-in via Firebase Phone Auth).
- To deliver the notes / tests you paid for, watermarked with your identity to deter redistribution.
- To process payments through Razorpay and confirm the order.
- To ship hard copies to your address.
- To respond to support chats and improve our content based on aggregated usage.
- To detect and stop piracy — leaked PDFs traced back to the originating buyer via the watermark.
- To send you order updates and (with consent) exam news / new-course announcements.
4. Who We Share Data With
We do NOT sell your data to advertisers. We share it only with the following processors, and only to the extent needed:
- Razorpay Software Pvt. Ltd. — payment processing, PCI-DSS compliant.
- Google Firebase (Google Cloud, EU/US regions) — authentication, database, secure file storage.
- India Post / DTDC / Delhivery — hard-copy delivery.
- WhatsApp / SMS gateway — order and OTP notifications.
- Law-enforcement or courts — only when compelled by a legal order.
5. Data Retention
We keep order and payment records for 7 years as required by Indian tax and accounting law. Chat history is retained for 2 years. If you delete your account, personal identifiers are hashed or purged; audit logs (order IDs, invoice numbers, tax records) are retained per law.
6. Your Rights (DPDP Act)
You have the right to:
- Know what personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Ask us to delete data that is no longer needed for a legal or contractual purpose.
- Withdraw consent for marketing messages (order/security messages continue).
- File a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India if you believe your rights have been breached.

7. Cookies & Local Storage
We use small pieces of data stored in your browser (localStorage, IndexedDB, cookies) only to keep you signed in, remember your cart / language preference, and to enable offline reading of the notes you have purchased. We do NOT use third-party advertising trackers.
8. Security
All traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS. Passwords are never stored — we use one-time SMS codes via Firebase Phone Auth. Signed download URLs expire in 24 hours. Every purchased PDF is watermarked with buyer identity to detect leaks.
9. Children
Zenith services are intended for candidates preparing for competitive exams — typically age 18+. If a minor uses the service, a parent/guardian must consent. Contact us to remove any minor's data.
10. Zenith Notes Reader (Android App)
The Zenith Notes Reader Android app (package in.zenitheducation.notesreader, available on Google Play) is a secure wrapper around the same store.zenitheducation.net dashboard and reader. The app itself collects nothing beyond what the website collects; specifically:
- Personal information: your name and mobile number (only if you sign in via OTP inside the app) — used solely to link you to your purchased notes.
- Device / installation identifier: Firebase Installations ID for push notifications you have explicitly opted into; you can revoke by uninstalling the app.
- App interaction data: anonymous crash reports and page-view counts (Firebase) used to fix bugs. No location, contacts, camera, or microphone access is requested.
- What we do NOT collect: location, contacts, calendar, photos, files outside the app, SMS, call log, camera or microphone streams, or advertising IDs.
- Anti-piracy protection: the app enables Android
FLAG_SECURE which blocks screenshots and screen recordings of your notes at the OS level. This does not send any data anywhere — it only tells Android to blank the screen when recording is attempted.
- Purchases: handled by Razorpay via the same website flow; the app does not use Google Play Billing and no payment data touches the app itself.
- Data deletion: WhatsApp us on +91 83024 50450 or email info.zenithcp@gmail.com. We remove your account, active sessions and personal data within 15 working days (order/tax records are retained per Indian law).
11. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes are notified by email/WhatsApp to registered users. The "Last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version.
