UGC NET Paper 1 Syllabus — Teaching & Research Aptitude

UGC NET Paper 1 is common to every subject and tests teaching & research aptitude, reasoning, comprehension, communication and general awareness. It carries 50 objective questions of 2 marks each (100 marks), all compulsory, with no negative marking, attempted alongside the subject-specific Paper 2 in a single 3-hour session. The syllabus is organised into 10 units, each contributing roughly 5 questions.
